| this is a fansite dedicated to the original lead guitarist of KISS Paul "Ace" Frehley, also known as " The Spaceman" or "SpaceAce".
He was born in the Bronx (NY) on April 27 1951, father: Carl Daniel Frehley mother: Esther Anna Hecht, with the name Paul Daniel Frehley.
His siblings include an older sister, Nancy who played piano, and and older brother, Charles, who played classical guitar. Paul began playing guitar at the age of 12.
Paul had a troubled childhood, as he was involved with gangs and didn't particularly do well in school. Eventually he straightened up. The origin of his nickname "Ace", was one he developed in highschool, because he was good at getting his friends dates. His involvment in KISS began when he answered an ad in a magazine stating that they were in need of a guitarist ( this was before they were famous) the only requirments were that he " must have flash and balls". Ace answered the ad and attended the audition, he did well in playing what they told him to, and as for the guitar solo " go nuts", they liked the solo and he was immediatley accepted. KISS had many issues within the band and began to create solo albums, eventually leading to the loss of their drummer Peter (Ace's friend), and eventually the loss of Ace. Ace started his own band Frehley's Comet, which had many successes of it's own. Later on, KISS had a couple of reunions, but now Ace continues his solo career, denying all rumours of suicide, and Peter does his own thing too, the only original members left in KISS are Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons.
